History:
·      Vali-Asr Rehabilitation Foundation (VRF) is a non-governmental organization that started its activities in 1992. Its aims are to provide  rehabilitation services for mentally retarded and physically disabled children and adolescents. After more than one decade of dedication, the foundation has expanded and its benefits are observed at community level.
·      VRF started its activities by establishing two day centers (male and female) for mentally retarded in 1992.
 

 

 • Negin Asr Rehabilitation Centre started its activities in Mashad city in 1995 and still continuing its program.
• In 1997 Vali-Asr Comprehensive
Rehabilitation Centre was established in Tehran for providing clinical rehabilitation services for children with cerebral palsy and mentally retarded children.   It was one of the earliest centers in this field  inaugurated under the name of Navid Asr rehabilitation centre and located in Tehran, its activities have now been transferred to this new centre.
• In 1998, the branch of Vali-Asr Rehabilitation Foundation was set up in
Kashan city for screening neurological problems in new born babies. Now Negar Asr Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre provides rehabilitation services for high risk babies and children under 6 years old with physical and mental disabilities in a new constructed building.
• In 2003, Vali Asr Foundation started its
activities In Shiraz city by    establishing Forough Asr Comprehensive Rehabilitation Centre.
This center like the other VRF centers provides
high standard rehabilitation services.
• In 2005, Navid Asr Comprehensive Rehabilitation centre started its activities for needy children of central and southern parts of
Tehran.
• In 2005, Omid Asr Comprehensive
Rehabilitations Centre was inaugurated and aimed at utilizing new techniques and approaches in the rehabilitation of neurologically disabled children. This centre is also active in the field of monitoring child development and Learning Disabilities with great success.
in addition to providing clinical rehabilitation
services, these two centre also provide, special professional services for CP children.
The rehabilitation services are for children with developmental delays, physically and
mentally disabled children and school students (first and second grade), daycare services (under 6 years old) and vocational skills training (above 14 years).
• In the past two years one of the important investment of the VRF was capacity
 building in its activities domin.
A great investment was also done in
introducing new techniques such as Conductive Education (CE) and Adeli Suit and organizing related training courses both inside and outside the country. The benefits can be observed in all VRF clinic services.
These new approaches in services provision are most welcome by disabled families and at the same time disabled children of neighbo uring countries are also referred to these rehabilitation services. 
• In order to  promote a  positive image of disabled people, and changing the negative attitude towards them, practical action was taken  by investing in  a film production .
